I Wm Green of the County of Haywood and State of North Carolina and Knowing that it is appointed to me once to die and being in my own proper mind do dispose of my property in the following manner (to wit) ~

 

First I do give and bequeath to my beloved son Thomas Green one Dollar having heretofore given him a former portion

 

Second I do give and bequeath to my beloved son John Green one Dollar having heretofore given him a former portion

 

Thirdly I do give and bequeath to my beloved son Wm Green fifteen (the word ‘one’ blotted out and _ifteen written in)* dollar having given him a former portion  *Document is unclear in view of the fact that the other sons got one dollar, but perhaps William Green did intend to give William fifteen dollars.-M. Fourthly I do give and bequeath to my beloved son Silas one Dollar having given him a former portion

 

Fifthly I do give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Sally Hix wife of Matthew Hix all my debts dues and demands of whatsoever nature and all my residue of property which has not been otherwise disposed of and above set forth and hereafter set forth in this Instrument

 

Sixthly I do give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Marthey Justice wife of Charles Justice one dollar having heretofore given her her portion

 

Seventhly I do give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Elizabeth Allen son James A. Allen one cow & one Feather Bead (sic)  one stand  curtains? and Beadstead (sic)
